Using the latest digital technology celebrated filmmaker Peter Jackson (The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings) has restored and colourised original archive film shot during the First World War to create an extraordinary new film telling stories of life on the front line.
THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD is a feature length film crafted from Imperial War Museums’ extensive archive, alongside BBC and IWM interviews with servicemen who fought in the conflict. Footage has been transformed through modern production techniques to present incredible and previously unseen detail – bringing history to life and creating a vital new connection for contemporary audiences.
